Summer 2019 - benefiting non-profit - teen line

TEEN LINE is a crisis prevention hotline by and for teenagers, reaching tens of thousands of teens every year and supporting them through every issue teens face today.

The Teen Line volunteers who answer the calls, emails and texts are Southern California teenagers who have received specialized training. They won’t judge or give advice – their job is to listen to the caller's feelings and help them to clarify concerns, define the options available, and help make positive decisions.

No problem is too small, too large, or too shocking for the Teen Line volunteers. Issues that teenagers are dealing with include abuse, depression, divorce, bullying, anxiety, gangs, gender identity, homelessness, pregnancy, relationships, sexuality, violence, substance abuse, self harm, and suicide.

TEEN LINE was the benefiting organization for our Summer Show!

TEEN LINE was created in 1980 by a group of mental health professionals  who, through their personal work with teenagers, realized that a more  inclusive approach to adolescent mental health was needed. After  extensive research and consultation, TEEN LINE – a teen-to-teen hotline  with community outreach services – was born.

Hero Women Rising, Inc.

We are the Maman Shujaa, or Hero Women of Congo. We are GRASSROOTS ADVOCATES for Peace, for women's rights, rights for the disabled, community rights, rights for nature, and the right to a future for our children. We operate a number of programs but really, all that we do is about one thing; lifting women, building women, elevating women's understanding, capacity, and ability to be the women they were created to be, for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Their new school just opened! click photo to read about it.

HERO WOMEN RISING was the benefiting organization in the Spring!

Neema Namadamu, a Congolese educator, activist, visionary, changemaker and original hero woman, founded this remarkable organization which is making changes in the lives of women and girls in the Congo. Support this work!
